The IP Office 500 from Avaya offers a modular solution to your business communication requirements, offering up to 272 extensions of analogue, digital an IP telephony. The IP 500 builds upon the 406 and 412 by offeing better IP integration and more available channels of IP telephony. It offers the reliability of traditional phone systems in a more IP-oriented system.

IP office 500
The IP500 caters for up to 272 phones and offers a range of expansion options. The main unit offers 4 expansion slots for extension and VCM modules which can be further added to with internal expansion cards offering additional trunk capabilities.

Expansion Modules
4 separate expansion modules can be plugged in to the main chassis, offering a mixture of digital and analogue ports. These units also allow the installation of daughter-boards offering VCM and trunk capabilities.

External Expansion Modules
Up to 8 external expansion modules can be added to the IP Office 500 (professional adition) to allow the connection of further digital and analogue phones.

Trunk Cards
A range of trunk cards are available including quad analogue, quad BRI (8 lines - ISDN2) and PRI (up to 30 lines - ISDN30). A mixture of up to 4 PRI or VCM cards can be installed in the IP500 offering a 120 lines of mixed trunk or VoIP (30 per card).

VCM Card
A VCM (Voice Compression Module) card allows voice to be transmitted via IP over data networks, allowing remote workers to utilise their existing internet connection for integration into the IP office and connection of multiple remote IP Offices, creating a multi-site voice network. A mixture of up to 4 PRI or VCM cards can be installed in the IP500 offering 120 lines of mixed trunk or VoIP (30 per card).
