The IP Office 406 from Avaya offers support for a mixture of up to 180 analog, digital and IP telephones and an expandable solution to your business communication requirements. It offers up to 30 simultaneous IP channels through the addition of a single internal VCM card.

IP office 406
The IP406 supports 6 Expansion Modules providing a combination of up to 180 analog, digital and IP telephones, with capacity for 8 analog trunks or 3 digital trunks. Additionally, SIP trunks are supported. The main unit itself offers 8 digital ports, 2 analogue and an 8 port 10/100mbps switch. There are two slots for either BRI or PRI cards and the option to add voice compression hardware to enable true IP telephony.

DS Expansion Modules
DS modules allow more digital phones to be added to the phone system. Units are offered with either 16 or 30 additional ports.

Phone Expansion Modules
Phone modules allow more analogue (or POT) phones to be added to the phone system. Units are offered with an additional 8, 16 or 30 ports.

Trunk Cards
A range of trunk cards are available including quad analogue, quad BRI (8 lines - ISDN2) and PRI (up to 30 lines - ISDN30). Trunk cards are fitted in one of two rear expansion slots.

VCM Card
A VCM (Voice Compression Module) card allows voice to be transmitted via IP over data networks, allowing remote workers to utilise their existing internet connection for integration into the IP office and connection of multiple remote IP Offices, creating a multi-site voice network. A single VCM card can offer up to 30 IP channels. |
